Can I connect SharePoint using application access instead?

While we recommend using Delgated OAUTH Access if possible, you can also connect Couchdrop to SharePoint using application access if you prefer. This required registering a new application in Microsoft Entra and providing the application details to Couchdrop afterwards.

How do I connect to SharePoint GCC?

SharePoint and SharePoint GCC both use the same SharePoint connector with one small change in the setup process. To connect to a GCC environment, simply change the Endpoint Type in the configuration screen from Default to GCC.

Can I connect multiple Sites and Document Libraries?

Yes, you can add as many SharePoint connections to Couchdrop as your plan allows. You can even transfer files between different SharePoint sites and document libraries–including those in the same tenant–using any tool from the secure transfer toolbox.

Is Couchdrop able to transfer files from legacy on-prem systems into SharePoint?

Yes, Couchdrop can transfer files from legacy on-prem systems into SharePoint, as long as the on-prem system supports SFTP, FTP/S, AS2, or S3 connections. This is a common use case for Couchdrop and can even be completely automated in many cases using Transfer Automations and File Actions.

I’m having trouble seeing a specific SharePoint site in Couchdrop, what can I do?

If you're unable to see a specific SharePoint site in Couchdrop, it may be due to the fact that the account you've connected with does not have site owner permissions on that site. If you aren’t the site owner and aren’t able to elevate permissions, you may still be able to access the site using a manually specified path.

For example, if the URL for the site is https://mydomain.sharepoint.com/sites/MySite, you may be able to use that path to access the default library within the site.
