Integrate Bloomberg with Couchdrop

How it works

Bloomberg file feeds are often used for reference data, pricing, historical data, and ongoing market-data workflows. Couchdrop can collect recurring files, place them into structured folders, preserve raw copies, and hand them to warehouse or analytics processes.

You can also use Couchdrop to send data requests and input files into BB-SFTP and automate regular inbound and outbound transfers.

Note: For transfers into BB-SFTP, you may need a Static IP that can be whitelisted by BB-SFTP. Contact sales about enabling this if needed.

Capabilities

  • Collect Bloomberg-delivered files via SFTP workflows
  • Route files to other systems including business intelligence, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
  • Send data requests and input files BB-SFTP
  • Store raw and processed data copies in storage platforms

Getting started

Couchdrop can connect with Bloomberg once the relevant file delivery or collection methods have been enabled.

  1. Create an SFTP user mapped to a storage platform for receiving Bloomberg Data License files.
  2. Configure the Bloomberg SFTP collection or delivery workflow to work with the Couchdrop transfer endpoint or mapped storage process.
  3. Add automations to send data requests and input files, and/or process and route files to other systems.
