Use Wasabi buckets as the storage layer for secure file transfers
Wasabi is a simple and fast cloud object storage platform for backup and archival.
Type
Integrate Wasabi with Couchdrop
How it works
The Wasabi storage connector allows you to integrate Wasabi buckets with Couchdrop and use those buckets as an endpoint for sending and receiving files. This connector acts as a virtual folder to directly access files within the Wasabi bucket in Couchdrop.
The Wasabi connector is compatible with all file transfer methods and tools including Shared Links, Mailboxes, Upload Portals, and automations.
Once connected, a folder for the Wasabi connection will be added to Couchdrop. From that folder, users can list objects in the designated bucket, as well as upload, download, and delete files according to the access permissions you configure. This allows internal and external teams to access files via SFTP, FTP, or any other supported protocol while being scoped to access and actions that you set.
Couchdrop connects to Wasabi buckets by sharing the Wasabi Access Key and Access Key Secret. Files are transferred through Couchdrop, but are not stored at rest on Couchdrop infrastructure.
You can add multiple buckets by creating a separate connection for each bucket.
Capabilities
- Use Wasabi buckets as a source or destination for secure file transfers
- List, Create, Modify, and Delete files in Wasabi buckets from Couchdrop
- Access Wasabi files via FTP, SFTP, FTPS, or through the Couchdrop interface
- Apply granular folder permissions for different users
- Automate file transfers and file processing with Wasabi files
Getting started
- Create a new storage connection for Wasabi and choose a name for how the virtual folder will appear in Couchdrop, e.g., Wasabi Cold Storage Bucket
- Select the cloud region for the bucket and provide connection details
- Choose a location within the bucket to act as the root (Optional)
- Add users to access the Wasabi bucket or configure transfers to/from the folder
