Integrate FS PBX with Couchdrop

How it works

FS PBX can run a scheduled job that converts and archives call recordings to S3-compatible storage. Couchdrop provides the S3-compatible endpoint and maps the archive path to the storage location selected for retention, compliance, or analytics.

When archive files are written, Couchdrop passes them through to the connected destination and can apply automation rules for foldering, naming, copying, and delivery.

This gives PBX teams an S3-compatible transfer layer without building and maintaining separate storage infrastructure for recording movement.

Capabilities

  • Archive FS PBX call recordings through a Couchdrop S3-compatible endpoint
  • Support S3 settings such as endpoint URL, bucket, region, path-style endpoint, and signature version
  • Write recordings through to SharePoint, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or downstream analytics folders
  • Use Couchdrop automations to organize, copy, retain, or forward recordings after each archive job
  • Use FS PBX REST APIs for application-level access where needed

Getting started

  1. Create a Couchdrop S3-compatible endpoint and map it to the destination storage folder.
  2. In FS PBX, configure the recording archive job with the Couchdrop endpoint URL, bucket, region, and credentials.
  3. Set the archive schedule and required S3 path-style or signature options.
  4. Run the job against a test recording and verify the file is written through to the target storage.
  5. Use Couchdrop automations to copy, retain, or deliver archived recordings to downstream systems.
