Integrate Vodia PBX with Couchdrop

How it works

Vodia sends recordings from the PBX to configured S3-backed object storage. Couchdrop provides an S3-compatible endpoint for that workflow and connects the file path to the storage platform that should receive the recordings.

Once Vodia writes each recording, Couchdrop can pass it through to the business destination and apply automation rules for folder structure, retention, or onward delivery.

For metadata workflows, Vodia REST APIs and CDR webhook delivery can sit alongside the file transfer path.

Capabilities

  • Receive Vodia PBX recordings through an S3-compatible Couchdrop endpoint
  • Write recordings through to SharePoint, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or customer folders
  • Use Couchdrop automations to organize, copy, archive, or route recording files
  • Pair recording files with Vodia CDR webhook delivery where call metadata is needed
  • Use Vodia REST APIs for application-level PBX workflows

Getting started

  1. Create a Couchdrop S3-compatible endpoint and map it to the destination storage folder.
  2. In Vodia, configure cloud storage for call recordings using the Couchdrop endpoint and credentials.
  3. Set the bucket, path, region, and storage address values required by the Vodia configuration.
  4. Place a test call and confirm the recording is written through Couchdrop into the target storage.
  5. Add Couchdrop automations for routing, retention, and downstream processing.
