Integrate RingCX with Couchdrop

How it works

RingCX sends recording copies to an external SFTP endpoint. Couchdrop supplies that endpoint and maps the incoming file path to the storage system used for retention, QA, analytics, or customer access.

After each file is delivered, Couchdrop automations can apply folder routing, naming rules, retention copies, and onward delivery into downstream platforms.

RingCX APIs and RingCentral webhooks can be used for event-driven or API-driven workflows around the recording files.

Capabilities

  • Receive inbound and outbound RingCX recording deliveries over SFTP
  • Write recordings through to SharePoint, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or customer folders
  • Use Couchdrop automations to organize, copy, retain, or forward recordings after delivery
  • Use RingCX call-recording APIs for application workflows
  • Use RingCentral webhooks for event-driven communications workflows

Getting started

  1. Create a Couchdrop SFTP user and map it to the destination storage folder for RingCX recordings.
  2. In RingCX, create a recording delivery destination and select SFTP server endpoint.
  3. Enter the Couchdrop host, port, path, username, and authentication details.
  4. Send a test recording delivery and confirm the file is written through to the target storage.
  5. Add Couchdrop automations for archiving, customer folder routing, or analytics delivery.
