Integrate Xorcom CompletePBX with Couchdrop

How it works

Xorcom can use external storage for call recordings, CDR upload, and PBX backups. Couchdrop supplies the S3-compatible or SFTP endpoint and connects that protocol path to the storage destination selected for the workflow.

For S3 Generic, configure Xorcom with the Couchdrop endpoint URL, access key, bucket, region, and recording or backup settings. For SFTP, configure the Couchdrop host and credentials for CDR or backup workflows.

Couchdrop automations can then organize files, split them by customer or date, and deliver them into downstream storage or processing systems.

Capabilities

  • Send CompletePBX call recordings to Couchdrop using S3 Generic remote storage
  • Send CDR uploads or backup files through Couchdrop SFTP
  • Write recordings and operational files through to SharePoint, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, or external partner folders
  • Use Couchdrop automations to organize, copy, retain, or forward PBX files
  • Use available Xorcom API capabilities for integrator workflows

Getting started

  1. Create a Couchdrop S3-compatible endpoint or SFTP user for the Xorcom remote storage workflow.
  2. Map the endpoint to the connected storage folder for recordings, CDR files, or backups.
  3. In CompletePBX, add an external storage provider using S3 Generic or SFTP.
  4. Enable the provider for call recording, CDR upload, or backup workflows as required.
  5. Test with a new call recording, CDR upload, or backup and add Couchdrop automations for routing and retention.
